Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

This afternoon we went to the corn maze and pumpkin patch that is less than a mile from our house.
They really expanded the maze this year, but thankfully, had a spot about mid-way through the maze that cut across the field and allowed you to skip half of it. It was a lot muddier than I anticipated, since we haven't had that much moisture. Oh well. Half the fun isn't it, getting dirty? We also had a helper through the maze. One of the kitties that lives there followed us through the whole thing, cutting in and out of the corn, randomly showing up and scaring us as it ran by us. Sidney thought it was fabulous every time he would run by.
After we went through the maze we picked out a bunch of pumpkins to bring home.
The girls had a great time and we enjoyed ourselves too.
When we got there though, I was so angry with myself for forgetting my phone to take pictures....but guess what!?
MIKE FIXED THE COMPUTER!!!!!!
So here are pictures from the camera!

Walking

Sidney finally figured out how to fully walk on the 5th, and she hasn't stopped walking since. She doesn't crawl much anymore, except for a few feet every now and then. She had been taking 3-4 steps for almost 2 weeks before the 5th though. We were pretty surprised it took her this long to figure it out. But I guess she knew she could crawl a whole lot faster and get after Kylie that way.

In the last week, she has managed to smack her forehead 3 times. One really good bruise that changed different colors, one cut over her eye, and yesterday, she hit her forehead on the corner of the oven and put a good inch cut in the middle of her forehead....ugh, I forgot about this stage with Kylie.

Here is a really short video of her wobbly walk around the living room. Don't mind the almost naked baby, we had just finished supper and she had her dirty clothes removed. :)

Ok - well, there would have been a video here from my phone,
but when I added it, it just constantly plays, all choppy. I'll try to figure out a
better way to add it soon!

I'm all caught up. Hopefully we do something fun this week and I will tell you all about it! :)

A Packer Win

Sidney almost always falls asleep on the way home after church, so she always naps in her church clothes. She managed to wake up with a little bit of game left in order for her to put on this shirt for the first time. Only the second Packer game on tv for us, and this shirt was finally unpacked a week or so ago. They probably only won because she put the shirt on. :)
 just kidding! :)

Random pics

Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday afternoon when it wasn't too cold out.
While we were outside making supper, we also saw a fox out in the field next to the house. We got pretty close to it too, before it finally noticed us, and took off.

Trying to climb the slide in socks...
it wasn't working out too well for her

Hoping it isn't too cold later this week, so that we can hit up the local corn maze and pumpkin patch. Looking forward to seeing Sidney in the corn maze, at 12.5 months. I still remember taking Kylie through one in Oregon when she was 13.5 months. It was fun. :)

I have a couple more posts to upload later and then I should be all caught up. Sorry to bombard you today! :)

Hope you all have a fabulous week!

Worland VFD pancake feed

Yesterday the local VFD had their annual pancake feed, for free, to thank the community for their support. We went last year when Sidney was just a few weeks old, so we decided to go again.
She got to enjoy the pancakes and sausage this year, and got to play on the fire trucks while Kylie went for a ride in one of the trucks all by herself.

Here are some pictures from it.

She thought it was so much fun to just sit

In a seat...that smile never left her face. :)

Playing with axes......starting her young.
(don't fret....they had covers on them!)

Keaton's Birthday Party

The girls and I were invited to a playgroup friends first birthday party. Keaton turned 1 on October 4th. He's just 4 days younger than Sidney.
So we went to his John Deer theme party and the girls had a blast.

Sidney loved riding on these rocking snails

As did Kylie

decorated herself

It was a nice quiet low key birthday party with delicious food. And you can just make out the green & pink of Sidney's socks in the last picture. She wore her own john deer socks to the celebration.
(and I have no good pictures of the b-day boy on my phone) :(

Mike's Buck

Mike got a mule buck, pretty much in the backyard, during the first deer season here. It is a 10 pointer, or a 5x5 or just a 5 point. Depending on who you are talking to. Why can't we all use the same terminology? Anyways....He got it cut up and we got it processed up in just a day or two. Got some meat in the freezer now thankfully. And it has already been delicious. Even Sidney approved.

Here are a couple pics of it.

I find this picture amusing and just plain cute
