November Catch Up

November was pretty low key.

Kylie got sick the first weekend and pretty much stayed sick the whole month. There was a cough thing going around here that lasts for weeks. She conveniently caught it, then gave it to her little sister a week later. We sucked it up and dealt with it, but the Tuesday night before thanksgiving Kylie came down with a fever and kept it, so we took her in on Wednesday. They couldn't really pin point anything, so he said let it ride out and if she keeps it to bring her back in. Well, on Friday she still had a fever, so we brought her back in and the doctor just straight up gave her some antibiotics. A couple days later she was good as new. :)
Sidney eventually got over her cough at the end of November. But our Thanksgiving was really quiet since Kylie felt pretty tired and miserable.

November also had deer hunting. Both Mike and I got a tag, but I've never hunted on public land and I was in for a surprise! The amount of people (out of staters!) that were out where we were hunting was unbelievable! Opening day we saw lots of deer, I just sadly couldn't get a good shot at any of them. :(

Mike and I tried some road hunting the following week with Sidney while Kylie was at school. :) But we weren't able to see anything.
The second weekend, the girls stayed with a family friend again while we went out for the evening. It was really cold and full of snow....so different from opening day; which was 60 degrees and sunny!
Mike saw a few, but couldn't get a shot. So we were starting to think the season would end with no deer. :(
But the last day of the season, Mike went out alone and was able to get a great sized doe. Yay! So with his WY deer and this one, we were able to get some good meat in our freezer!

Other than the kids being sick and deer season, nothing really happened in November. So here are just a bunch of random pictures from my phone. :)

Halloween 2015

Halloween went well this year.
We sadly had to get our pumpkins from the store. Hopefully we will find somewhere next year to go get some. We carved them the Wednesday before Halloween.

and we had the potato head witch pumpkin too.

On Halloween we had hot dog mummies for lunch, and our traditional homemade pizza for supper. :)

We weren't really sure where we were going to go trick or treating since we are surrounded by college kids, but we figured it out.

Kylie had her class party on Friday and loved it. Then Friday night there was a trunk or treat downtown on main street. It only took like 15 minutes, but they got some candy and we discovered Sidney isn't a fan of people who go all out with their costumes.  :)

Saturday night we drove over to the part of town where Kylie's teacher lived, since she invited the kids to stop at her place, and Kylie insisted that we do so. Then we just wandered down a couple nearby streets and then stopped over at Mike's boss' house.

The girls' buckets were quite full so we called it a night for trick or treating and headed out to a friends house just south of town for a little party he had going on since it was his birthday. The girls had a blast playing with abs pestering the teenage boys and were so made when it was time to go. They were so unbelievably exhausted, Sidney's eyes were rolling in the back of her head by the time we got back to town.

So glad that Sidney requested what she did, so we could just reuse Kylie's costume from when she was 3!

It was a fun Halloween and can't wait to see what the girls want to be next year!

The End of the Soccer Season

Some things came up for Kylie's coach for the last 2 games of the season, so being Team Mom, I got to pull coach duty for the last two games....yikes.

But they played well, and they even won their last game!

Soccer starts up again at either the end of March or in April. Kylie is looking forward to it!

My pictures from the second to last game are all blurry and horrible from some reason and I didn't take many. Too busy running back and forth down the field with the kids!

Mike got a couple from the last game though while she was on defense. Defense didn't seem to have to do much that game....So that's why she is just standing around. :)

Sidney turned 3!

SOOOOOO. I know. So far behind!

Anyways...

Can't believe that Sidney is 3 already! She currently acts like she is 16, so her terrible 3s are showing up all the time. Her favorite phrases this last month have been; "Don't!", "Don't look at me!", and "Don't talk to me!".

It's pretty awesome.

She had a wonderful birthday! It'll be hard to get as exciting next year as this one was for her. :)
