Peek-A-Boo!

Last night Sidney voluntarily spent at least 5 minutes playing peekaboo with me, when she was suppose to be getting sleepy to go down for bed.

It is adorable!

She grabs her blanket and throws it up in the air in front of herself. After asking "Where's the baby?" or "Where's Sidney?"; she then throws her arms down and shows herself.

My face hurts from smiling so much when she is doing it.

She first did this a week ago with Mike. It was so cute!

Here are a couple of pictures from Sidney playing peekaboo with Mike last week. :)

5 DAYS & you can play peek-a-boo too!

Clifford the Big Red Dog

Clifford came to the library this afternoon. Everyone got to sit outside and eat popcorn and drink lemonade while Penny from PBS read a story to all of us.

Then all the kids got to take turns getting their picture taken with Clifford. They also had a whole bunch of coloring pages inside for the kids to color and/or take home.

I wish I had the camera on when Kylie first saw Clifford. The look on her face was absolutely priceless! Even the mom next to me thought it was fabulous. :)

I of course forgot to even put my memory card into the camera after downloading pictures last night. So I only had a dozen pictures I could take. Thankfully I realized this before it was our turn to take pics with Clifford, so I could delete some of the first pics I took; leaving space for the last pictures.

Here are a few pictures from our visit at the library.

The PBS lady talked me into doing Sidney as well.
Sidney is not impressed - like usual.

(at least she wasn't screaming in protest though!)

 Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

I'm not sleepy....no, not at all

I love how I know that my child is tired, but she insists that she isn't. Then after convincing her to just still quietly for a few minutes, she is passed out cold. Almost an hour now folks.

Taking advantage of both girls napping with some hot cider drinking and a lot of couch relaxing to try to rid myself of this nasty cold I have seemed to have caught. Hoping it is out of the house in 9 days!

So of course, here is Kylie napping.

I really need to find a couch cover that fits this couch!

I also had to go snap one of Sidney then to share.

Hope your week is going well!

I am accomplishing nothing while Mike is gone. Go figure. :)

Crazy week

WARNING - LOTS OF PICTURES!!

It has been a very long week. The weather has been very bipolar as well, making things just depressing around here. I imagine next week will be just as bad since Mike will be up in Cody all week for a class and the temps are only suppose to be in the 30s.

Not a whole lot has happened around here lately.

Last weekend Mike and I subjected ourselves to a little manual labor inorder to bury the satellite cable from the house out to the back of the garage. It surprising only took a couple of hours and we only had minor malfunctions getting the satellite working again

Kylie and I spent some time playing in the snow one day, even though it was really cold and I am sure the wind chill was pretty low. She had fun though.

The girls and I also hit up story time at the library and playgroup.

The house was sprayed around the inside and in the basement for bugs, again; and will get sprayed inside again in 2 weeks (hopefully before family gets here). And hopefully will be sprayed outside the house as soon as we get some decent weather.

Sidney got her 6 month shots on the 11th. She did magnificently. Didn't even cry for the first shot and only cried a little for the second two. She was done before we even left the room.

Sidney is horrible at eating cereal, so I haven't really been giving her much solids. She just doesn't seem to be able to handle it.
I did attempt to give her some green beans that I pureed myself Friday night. She wanted nothing to do with them and was probably thinking "What is wrong with you Mom?".  I don't think I got them pureed up enough. Will have to figure out how to get them a little smoother.
I then made her some cereal. It was cold. She also refused that. I heated it up, and she devoured it. Well, at least what was left after she knocked the bowl out of my hand and spilled half of it.
We really need to get a high chair. I think that would solve most of our problems. (she currently sits in her bumbo when I feed her)
I also think she is going to be more of a self feeder. Not wanting any help. Maybe we will try some egg yolk or something and see how she does feeding herself.

Yesterday Kylie played with the neighbor kids. Their mom, Jen, was avoiding doing some housework and coming up with random games for the kids to play. I also got to throw the ball to their dog, Otis, a few times. He still won't let me pet him much, but we are getting closer. He is straight up terrified of Mike, so I feel pretty good that I get to play with him. :)

Here are a bunch of random pictures from this past week.

She prefers to sit with them instead of me when we are at

Annnnnnd She's Walking!

Just Kidding! :)

BUT, when you hold your hands out, she will reach out, grab them, and pull herself up. She will then proceed to "walk" towards you.

She started doing this today. We found it pretty exciting. :)

I was looking at baby books the other day and Kylie would walk when you held her hands about a month before she started crawling. If Sidney is on a similar path, she may or may not be crawling before the month is over!

Crazy to think about!!

Will try to get video of this soon and post for your viewing pleasure!

The Countdown Begins!

As most of you know, Sidney is getting baptized at the end of the month. 3 years and 3 days after the day Kylie got baptized.

We are really looking forward to having a bunch of the family come out and visit.

We are so excited, Kylie & I made a paper chain the other day to count down the days left before the first family members get here. (Chris & Dena win for the first ones coming; even if we might not get to see them that night depending on their flight timing!)

Kylie was pretty excited. She has been reminding me each morning to take off a chain so that we can count the new number of days.

It has also been a good reminder to me of how many days left Mike and I have to get this place in order!!

Here are a few pictures of Kylie helping make the paper chain.

For those counting, there are 21 days left! (we are counting to the 25th).
22 days left for the rest of you! :)

SEE YOU SOON!!!
